The academy has an internal ranking system based on the 'Egyptian God' cards from Battle City. Taking place ten years after the events of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX follows a new generation of duelists including a young boy named Jaden Yuki (Judai Yuki) who attends Duel Academy, a school founded by Seto Kaiba, where aspiring duelists train in the field of Duel Monsters.
